Voters from Franklin County (and others) are invited to a Meet the Candidates event at the Tharptown Fire Department (23 Hwy. 80- corner of Hwy 48 and 80) on Saturday October 25th. The sechedule of events is as follows.

6 PM Candidates Speak
Raffle with over $600.00 in prizes.
Although the event does not have question and answer period while the candidates are speaking, the organizers say the candidates usually show up early and stay around after they speak.
That is the best time to get their attention and ask questions about Tar Sands.
Franklin County Probate Judge Barry Moore will be present to explain the redistricting. Other expected attendees are Mr. Letson, State Rep. Johnny Mack Morrow and State Sen. Roger Bedford.
The organizers say it is very informal and normally a lot of fun.
